Splash takes you back to basics this spring
- Kuwait: Thursday, February 05 - 2009 at 13:19
- PRESS RELEASE
The Splash spring '09 collection available at all Centrepoint showrooms brings runaway fashion into your wardrobe.
As varied as these trends may seem, they are defined by a common thread - 'Back to Basics in Style'.
Taking their statement of 'Eye on Design' forward, Splash combines fashion and simplicity like never before.
The collection embraces influences of the bygone worlds from African tribes to Native Americans. Bright colors, primitive dye techniques, barbarian prints and sumptuous fabrics of silks and satins combine to create a Techno - Ethnic look that sashays sophisticatedly on lean silhouettes. A complementary mix of sharp tailoring, ethnic prints and hues of warm neutrals, rich browns and yellows give this look a youthful vibe.
Splash also adds glamour to the line with the Soft - Romantic look that makes you want to fall in love all over again. Runway inspired looks of draped dresses and layered tops and jackets in beautiful pastels of pink, lavender, pale blues define the love- affair of spring. Reflecting the mood of the season, the trend showcases soft full skirts, feminine ruffled silhouettes, simple coats and an endless variety of dresses.
The day wear at Splash is dominated by the Boudoir Dressing. It's all about feminity of bias cutting and the relaxed appeal of pyjama dressing in luxe-touch silks and satins worked in a palette of vapor grays, nude pinks, and black and white. The outfits that lend themselves to the style are the likes of bias slip dresses, japenesque kimono jackets, wide- legged pants, flirty shorts and wrap tops.
The Splash Men's line this season witnesses an exotic mix of the adventurous, and individualistic moods of an urban man. The adventurous Derby is a sporty leisure collection to suit a very English taste. The Plutocrat Collection boasts of an original style statement for a man who steps out of his work shoe to have some fun. For a more relaxed mood, away from the maddening crowd of the city, the Ocean Spirit Collection takes one into a clean leisure look with an emphasis on individual style.
The entire spring '09 collection has statement pieces that will be retailed at Splash stores across Kuwait located at Al Rai, Salmiya, Hawally, Kuwait City, Fahaheel, Jahra and the most recent stand alone store at The Avenues. With a return to basics, a hint of romance and a classy line-up Splash will offer fashion forward products, worked in luxe fabrics to savvy customers at absolute 'value' prices.
