Cisco sponsors Cairo ICT 2009's Future Living Lounge

Building on its Connected Real Estate concept, Cisco announced that it is one of the official sponsors of Cairo ICT 2009's Future Living Lounge, an exclusive space for real estate developers and technology providers to interact.

The Future Living Lounge is also sponsored by Talaat Mustafa Group Holding, with other participants including Palm Hills Development, SODIC, Egyptian Micro Solutions (EMS), AMER Group and Telsol.

The Cisco Connected Real Estate solution is a framework that positions the "Network as the Platform"; this concept will ultimately facilitate the transformation of the real estate industry.

Cisco recognizes that network plays a role in every part of people's lives, with their homes and workplaces being no exception. The real estate industry is just one of many that Cisco provides solutions for and actively works towards finding new ways of reducing cost and increasing efficiency through information, communications technology (ICT). With Connected Real Estate, Cisco unites IT and real estate by incorporating technology into each step of the real estate lifecycle, including design, construction, realization, use, and operations. The net results are innovative services that improve the user experience and productivity of built environments, create revenue-generating business

"It is important that real estate professionals in Egypt now begin to actively take the necessary steps to transform the physical spaces of the future through technology innovation, thereby delivering value-added, revenue generating services while streamlining the processes that create buildings and developments," he added.

Cisco's general manager for Egypt Hani Abdel Aziz will participate in the opening forum of Cairo ICT 2009 entitled: "Future Living: Changing the way we build and the way we live" with keynote speakers including H.E Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communication & Information Technology and H.E Ahmed El Magrabi, Minister of Housing, Utilities & New Urban Communities.

Cairo ICT 2009, Egypt's premier event for professionals to network, is sponsored by H.E Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. It will take place on 8-11th February 2009 at the Cairo International Conference Center. Cisco will also be a part of both Telecom Egypt and TE Data's booths at Cairo ICT, where technology partners IPMagix and Honeywell will demo Cisco solutions.
