- Egypt: Saturday, February 07 - 2009 at 09:16
- PRESS RELEASE
Smart Technologies will be participating in this year's Cairo ICT 2009, the premier event for professionals to network, showcasing many newly released products.
The Smart Notebook SE software comes on a convenient USB silicon bracelet. Designed for technology savvy students, the product offers portable interactive learning software that complements Smart Notebook software, a widely-used lesson delivery application.
North American students use several computers each day to complete school work as they move from their homeroom to the computer lab to the library and then home. The bracelet allows them to plug in to any computer, complete assignments and save their work to a single, portable USB key. The mobile format also means issues concerning variability in computer set up are minimized.
Today, the bracelets are compatible with the Windows operating system. Smart Notebook software can be used with all Smart Board interactive whiteboards and displays, Senteo interactive response systems, Sympodium interactive pen displays and AirLiner™ wireless slates.
The Smart Table interactive learning center, a ground-breaking learning display designed specifically for preschool to sixth grade students (ages 4 to 11). The new product is a brightly colored table with a touch-sensitive surface where groups of students can simultaneously interact with digital content.
Working together to complete interactive lessons, play educational games and solve problems, students think the interactive learning center is fun and easy to use, and their teachers find it educational. The Smart Table provides a learner-centric experience for small groups that allows students to select or move objects, draw or write on the screen simultaneously, and work together to find answers to preset questions. The Smart Table's touch technology builds on Smart's DViT (Digital Vision Touch) technology, which enables multiuser and multi-touch functionality.
