The event will also act as an excellent forum for industry leaders and Chief Information Officers to network, discuss best practices and explore key IT issues.
"As the owner of the first Tier IV data centre in the Middle East, we fully understand how today's business environments require facilities that can rapidly respond and adopt to user needs. At the same time, an increasing emphasis on sustainability throughout the region means that we have to rethink the way we design these centres. We hope that we can help further accelerate the MENA region's IT sector by sharing our experiences and expertise in data centres and managed services areas"
said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO Injazat.
The value of the Middle East and Africa's (MEA) IT market is predicted to increase from USD 51 billion in 2008 to nearly USD 71 billion by 2012, with data centre operations representing a highly lucrative growth area. The Summit will include plenary speaking opportunities; theme-based breakout sessions; neutral panel discussions, such as a panel on CIOs versus other corporate officers; analysis of vendor performance; and presentations on retaining skill sets within an organization. These events aim to further stimulate the MEA region's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) activities, particularly in the Middle East which is emerging as one of the fastest growing ICT markets in the world.
Injazat Data Systems is a joint venture between Mubadala Development company and EDS, an HP company with 46 years of expertise in the Information Technology outsourcing industry. Injazat manages the first Tier IV data centre in the Middle East and the only one outside of North America. It also maintains more than 50 per cent share of the UAE's IT Managed Services market.
