"Initial projects, involving a number of electricity sub-stations in the Sultanate of Oman, have already been successfully completed using the new cable seal. Throughout the Middle East, a building entry seal needs to reliably and cost-effectively prevent penetration not only by water and gas, but also by sand, dust and small animals."

says Hauff-Technik CEO Michael Seibold.

The universal press-seal is suitable for installation in core drillings or liners, allowing water- and gas-tight sealing of medium and low-voltage cables. The segmented ring technology allows any seal to be quickly adapted to the individual cable diameter. The split seal insert allows the universal cable seal to be fitted on cables that are already in place. Integrated blank seals keep reserve openings sealed, ready for later laying of additional cables.

In addition to ensuring gas- and water-tightness, the combination of the universal press-seal with the British-Standard-approved HVS fire-barrier cushions also achieves reliable fire safety.

HVS provide a fireproof, smoke-tight barrier, protecting power cables, and cable trunking. The cushions can be easily installed from one side. They are used when cables need to be installed retrospectively in a flexible, dust-free process in hostile industrial environments under constantly changing conditions.
