Malik Awan, UFC General Manager, said:
"UFC is opening stores for all age groups, tastes and lifestyles. We are now catering for menswear casual style."
"This is part of our philosophy - the best fashion mix for everyone. With the recent opening of Gianfranco Ferre for unisex, and Stefano Ricci for the smart gentleman, Harmont and Blaine widens the choices as promised by UFC," he added.
Harmont & Blaine, founded in 1995, rated as one of the ten most successful growth companies in Italy, has boutiques in some 50 countries throughout the world and specializes in casual menswear.
"The Pearl-Qatar" said Domenico Menniti , Harmont & Blaine Chairman, "has won our hearts as soon as the UFC management briefed us about the project. When you think of The Pearl-Qatar, you automatically think about a lifestyle that perfectly fits our ideal customer. To open a store on the boardwalk of Porto Arabia is for us a wonderful opportunity."
Harmont & Blaine and UFC have signed an exclusive agreement for the development of the Italian fashion brand in Qatar, planning a strong expansion in the Middle East region.
"It was essential to have in Qatar a powerful partner to enter one of the most solid and growing economies in the region and we found it in UFC," said Menniti. "We find that Porto Arabia with its Mediterranean atmosphere in a Middle East setting is something which gives meaning to the lifestyle we aspire to."
Harmont & Blaine, a Milan-based company, already has stores in Milano, Miami, Capri, Hangzhou, Firenze, Mexico City, Southampton, New York, Portofino, Monterrey, Athens, Kuwait City, Dubai, Cairo and Santo Domingo.
