This was under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Basem Rousan, Minister of Information and Communications Technology.
The seminar which took place at the Grand Hyatt Amman, venerated Cisco specialists and brought together over 80 of Jordan's top business and technology decision makers in the telecommunication industry.
The seminar featured the latest in Cisco's and put forward the opportunity to learn how Cisco data center solutions could help organizations address near-term challenges such as availability, power consumption, security, and compliance, while building a network for the future.
Furthermore, the audience was briefed on how their businesses could benefit by taking advantage of Cisco's IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture to converge networks, services, and applications for greater revenue, reduced costs, and better differentiation.
Citing availability of regional capital, increase of IT spending in Gulf countries, specially Saudi Arabia as well as the companies' focus on cutting cost and increasing efficiency. Basem Rousan, Minister of ICT stressed that "the local ICT sector has a rare opportunity to further cement Jordan's value proposition as a development and support destination of choice".
For his part, STS President, Aiman Mazahreh stated:
