STS, Cisco seminar highlights latest from Cisco solutions

STS, Jordan's IT service and enterprise solution provider, joined hands with Cisco, the world's specialist in providing networking solutions, in hosting a seminar highlighting the latest in Cisco's groundbreaking solutions in the areas of Data Centers and IP Next Generation Network.

This was under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Basem Rousan, Minister of Information and Communications Technology.

The seminar which took place at the Grand Hyatt Amman, venerated Cisco specialists and brought together over 80 of Jordan's top business and technology decision makers in the telecommunication industry.

The seminar featured the latest in Cisco's and put forward the opportunity to learn how Cisco data center solutions could help organizations address near-term challenges such as availability, power consumption, security, and compliance, while building a network for the future.

Furthermore, the audience was briefed on how their businesses could benefit by taking advantage of Cisco's IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture to converge networks, services, and applications for greater revenue, reduced costs, and better differentiation.

Citing availability of regional capital, increase of IT spending in Gulf countries, specially Saudi Arabia as well as the companies' focus on cutting cost and increasing efficiency. Basem Rousan, Minister of ICT stressed that "the local ICT sector has a rare opportunity to further cement Jordan's value proposition as a development and support destination of choice".

For his part, STS President, Aiman Mazahreh stated:
"This is a an important opportunity to communicate with our customers about the new innovative solutions, which enable customers to stay ahead of the technology curve and offer first-class facilities and services to the citizens of Jordan. Our strategic alliance with Cisco solidifies our position to offer distinguished solutions to improve business performance for organizations in the Middle East."


Additionally, Ashraf Arafeh, Cisco General Manager in Jordan, added, "We at Cisco believe these targeted seminars are significant in supporting the technology and telecommunications sector in Jordan and the region. We continuously seek to offer the latest from Cisco to fulfill the enduring demand of our customers."
