Air travellers from Kuwait get chance to 'fly higher' with Etihad Airways

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, February 10 - 2009 at 13:03
  • PRESS RELEASE

Etihad Airways is offering customers in Kuwait the chance to fly in business class for the price of an economy fare, or in first class for the price of a business class fare, as part of a massive promotion to highlight the airline's award-winning premium services on the ground and in the sky.

The promotion means that customers can effectively buy a business class return ticket from Kuwait to London.

Etihad Airways' Kuwait Country Manager, Magdi Labib said:

"We are immensely proud of the award-winning service we offer our customers in both first and business class from Kuwait. Our new 'inspired has proved to be a tremendous success with our customers. This promotion gives thousands of lucky travellers who so far have not had the pleasure, a chance to experience first class as well as business class at unbelievably low prices."

Etihad Airways flies nineteen flights per week from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi, and will increase to 20 flights starting from April 1st, ultimately departing at convenient timings throughout the day.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline recently completed a major service upgrade to its premium cabins across its aircraft fleet. The new 'Inspired Service' style is available across all of the airline's long haul destinations.

Etihad offers fully-flat beds in both first and business class as well as more than 600 hours of on-demand entertainment provided via individual wide-screen video screens, operated by touch-screen technology.

Passengers can eat whenever they wish during the flight, from a la carte fine dining menus or opt for kitchen style snacks.

Etihad has also introduced a new cabin crew position called the onboard food and beverage manager, responsible for championing the quality, presentation and delivery of food and beverages on board, ensuring it is consistently to the highest standards.

The 'fly higher' offer is available to travellers who book tickets before February 28. All outbound travel must be completed by the March 31 and return journey completed by May 31, 2009.

Members of the airline's Etihad Guest loyalty programme will still earn Etihad Guest miles relevant to the class of travel and also earn an additional 2,500 Guest Miles if they book online.

For more information customers are encouraged to visit the new Etihad office located on the mezzanine floor of Burj Jassim Tower, Al Soor Street, Mirqab. Opening hours are Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 6pm. Telephone: 2296 0090, fax: 2296 0080.
