This is the second year for the symposium which targets industries including hygiene and personal care, geotextiles, filtration and medical.
Haitham Sibai of 3M says, "The disposable hygiene industry in where we operate, and where we have excelled in terms of developing effective fastening solutions including tape, hook & loop, elastic closures, and waistbands."
"Our design elements enable differentiation between products, bearing in mind that closure systems, such as those used in diapers, are the primary point of interaction for the consumer," he added.
"3M currently supply all of the major diaper manufacturers both locally and globally with closure mechanisms - that have been significantly researched and developed over 30 years to ensure comfort, containment and fit. To date 3M have manufactured more than 1 trillion disposable diaper tabs," Sibai concluded.
