  • PRESS RELEASE

Samsung Electronics, the leading printer vendor, today launched the new ML-2855ND monochrome laser printer, ideal for home office and small business users looking for high performance, reliability and ease of use.

Mr. Mehdi Heidari, Head of Corporate Sales in Digital Printing Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said:
"It is always a challenging issue to keep up with the demands of business users, such as compact size, convenience, reliability and efficiency."

"Thanks to its enhanced feature set the ML-2855ND will improve business efficiency and we are confident that it will meet the challenges of high performance and reliability, as well as user convenience," he added.

The compact but powerful ML-2855ND builds on the success of the existing model, the ML-2850ND, delivering improved performance with print speeds of up to 28 pages-per-minute (ppm) single-sided, and 14 ppm double-sided (duplex), helping to reduce wasted time and paper.

It has a 400 MHz processor and 64MB memory capacity as standard, which can be optionally expanded to 192MB. The powerful processor and high capacity memory reduce bottle necks that may slow down workflow.

Designed for small business users, the ML-2855ND offers a quick first page printing time of less than 8.5 seconds from standby, minimising waiting time and improving work efficiency.

Samsung's ML-2855ND ensures trouble-free printing by reducing the number of paper jams. As well as providing a more reliable printing experience, the ML-2655ND offers a 50-sheet multipurpose tray and 250-sheet input tray. The new monochrome printer also enables users to print up to 50,000 pages-per-month, the highest monthly duty cycle in its class.

Targeting design-savvy users, Samsung has improved the sophisticated design of the device. Thanks to its compact height and volume, the ML-2855ND conserves valuable office space in comparison to other duplex devices, which are usually too bulky to fit on a regular desk. For a more pleasant working environment, the new monochrome laser printer operates as quietly as low-volume conversation (50dB).

In addition, the ML-2855ND offers ease of use thanks to its built-in control panel. The two-line LCD screen makes it easy to read messages during the printing process, and a Compass Navigation system simplifies the menu. The ML-2855ND is the only device in its class to feature an LCD screen.
