National Aviation Services wins ISAGO certification

The implementation of the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) aims to improve safety and cut airline costs by drastically reducing ground accidents and injuries. This is the latest in line of certification and audit procedures being set by IATA, the world's leading aviation industry authority.

While airlines have their own operational practices appropriate to one common audit, things are more complex for ground handlers, covering a wide scope of activities as diverse as passenger and baggage handling, load control, cargo handling, etc.

ISAGO was instituted to respond to the diversity of the ground services provided by ground handlers all over the world by providing a uniform set of standards and procedures that would promote safety, eliminate redundancies, save of costs and ultimately improve on quality.

The press conference was addressed by Mr. Naji Al-Ajmi Global President & CEO in the presence of Mr. Adel Al-Askar Sr. VP for Governance & Strategic Planning, Mr. Hassan El-Houry CEO MENA, Mr. Bruce Richterkessing GM & COO of NAS Kuwait, the senior management of NAS and members of the media.

"It is a great milestone for us to be one of the first in the world to qualify for this certification and this proves that we are passionate about being the leaders in the industry." quoted Global President & CEO Mr. Naji Al-Ajmi.
