Orange Business Services' Etrali Trading Voice Platform, the system which was already deployed in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai headquarters now connects the two dealing rooms through WAN (Wide Area Network). This link would make all calls to be seen and attended by both Abu Dhabi and Dubai branches.

"As the Number One Bank in the UAE, we are always keen to provide best and wide range of banking solutions and products to meet the ever expanding demands of our esteemed customers,"

said Mahmood Al Aradi, Senior General Manager of NBAD's Financial Markets Division.

"NBAD's state-of-the art dealing rooms, handled by professional and dedicated cadres, provide innovative financial services, solutions and products such as money markets and capital guaranteed investment notes, primary and secondary fixed income, futures, options, commodities, foreign exchange and structured solutions. With this high technological installation and connection of our new trading systems, we are meeting our targets of serving our customers even better," Al Aradi explained.

"NBAD has been a valued customer of ours for over a decade now; as their technology partner, we were involved in this project from the planning stage. They selected Orange Business Services' Etrali Trading Voice Platform because of its reliability and market leadership in the financial community. We are very proud to have been selected to install this system for NBAD alongside the fact that connecting their trading rooms is the very first in the whole region," said Muamar Magam, Sector Manager for Finance of Alpha Data.

The newly-fixed system enables a single Etrali Mach3D turret (advanced telephony system) receive up to 30 calls at a time, maximising the availability and efficiency of traders; assuring that every single call to traders will be accommodated.

The Etrali Mach 3D turret offers an intuitive touch screen interface that provides the agents with colour-coded information regarding the status of a call; if it is on hold or waiting to be answered. It also has intercom and conference features so agents can communicate with their counterparts and it can store up to 216 personal speed dial numbers (PSDN).

Keeping adequate records of transactions in dealing rooms is vital, and Alpha Data integrated the trading telephony system with a voice recording solution from their partner ASC, a leading global provider in communications recording and analysis. This recording system can keep a call history of the conversation, phone and account number as long as the financial institution needs it and every agent in the dealing room is provided with their login that guarantees the security of the recorded trading.

"We are proud that NBAD granted Orange their trust and that our state-of-the-art voice trading system has contributed to build what is today one of the most innovative and ergonomic trading floors in the Gulf Region," says Giovanni Giacometti Ceroni, VP Southern Europe and Middle East of Orange Business Services Trading Solutions.
