"Since the soft-opening in December 2008, the new Rugland outlet has exceeded initial sales expectations. We are confident about Bahrain's market potential and the new Rugland showroom which provides a large variety of area rugs with over 560 rugs hanged in Book-Style display stands."
said Farshid Niknam, General Manager, Rugland.
AAF's sixth Rugland showroom is part of the company's expansion plan to open 30 outlets by 2010. In spite of the current global economic slowdown, AAF is going ahead with its growth targets set for 2009 - without any delays or cancellations due to its sound business plan and overall financial liquidity.
"AAF's continued expansion may defy the current norms of business but our sound financial performance in 2008 and stable, solid growth in past years has given us the confidence to come up with a definable workable strategy which we believe is key to the success of our retail expansion," said Shahriar Khodjasteh, Group Marketing Director, AAF.
Furthermore, Al Aqili has plans to launch outlets in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and other GCC and Middle East states by 2010.
"Our next steps are to establish AAF's Flooring Division and Carpetland, in Bahrain in addition to the expansion of our retail and contract divisions in the rest of the GCC states," added Khodjasteh.
