The partnership would also help generate awareness of UP and EEG's common vision of promoting a culture of respect and care for the local environment in Dubai and UAE.

"As a leader in property development, we believe that it is our duty to champion environmental awareness throughout our Company and the local community. EEG has lead the way in raising this public awareness through their successful campaigns for many years and we are honoured to have this opportunity to support their cause."

said Michael Jackson, Chief Marketing Officer, UP.

"Sustainability could only be achieved through genuine partnerships. We are glad that Union Properties has come on board to actively support and take part in EEG programs and campaigns. Through its partnership with EEG, UP is stepping up to show not only their concern for the environment but also their overall corporate social responsibility", said Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, EEG Chairperson and Board Member of the UN Global Compact.

"It is important to protect the environment, prevent pollution and promote recycling and re-usage in our everyday lives. If each person plays a critical role in protecting the environment, then that little contribution will make a big difference," added Jackson."
