Emirates Post and India Post have agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of posts, express mail, remittances and philately.

A delegation of India Post recently visited Dubai and held talks with top officials of Emirates Post Group to identify areas of further bilateral cooperation.

The India Post delegation comprised Mr. Samant Shukadev, member (Development), Postal Services Board, Department of Posts, and Mr. P.N. Ranjeet Kumar, Director (Global Business), Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, President of Emirates Post Group, underlined the need for consolidation of ties between Emirates Post and India Post, in view of the strong historic ties existing between the two sides.

The two sides discussed ways of enhancing the express mail service (Mumtaz), remittances through IFS (International Financial System) and Wall Street Exchange and parcel service.
Both sides agreed to enhance relations in philately, and agreed to host a joint stamp exhibition in 2010.
