Ibrahim Al Malik, PR and Communications Director at Al Rajhi Bank explained that the new services added to both "Al Tafawuq" and "Al Baraka" cards allow payment of bills through SADAD payment system as well as the ability to make transfers using the card to any Al Rajhi bank account.
Al Malik also added:
"These new services will complement the already existing features for both cards which include balance inquiry, cash withdrawal, short statement of account, as well changing the pin number."
Al Malik continued, "This upgrade is a clear reflection of the Bank's interest in serving the various segments of the community, where Al Rajhi Bank is considered the pioneer in launching ATMs for various segments of the society such as students or others such as charity organizations. This step aims at providing the easiest and most effective means in dispensing students' bonuses and donations to charity organizations."
Al Rajhi Bank issues a series of ATM cards for specific sectors in the community which include "Al Tafawuq" which streamlines cashing student bonuses and "Al Baraka" which was issued by the Bank in cooperation with Al Bir Charity Organizations across the Kingdom.
In 2005, Al Rajhi Bank implemented the largest project of its kind in this field when it launched ATM cards for social security beneficiaries across the Kingdom. The Bank also concluded another agreement in 2007 with the Ministry of Social Affairs to issue a care card specifically for financial aid purposes for disabled and families.
These cards are considered the most convenient and the quickest to manage financial aid programs and well as bonuses while at the same time contribute to reduce traffic and long queues. In addition to that, these cards provide the opportunity to receive cash from more than 2150 ATMs at anytime using Al Rajhi's extensive ATM network across the Kingdom.
