Oki addresses needs of label printing industry at Sign and Graphics

The alliance integrates Oki Printing Solutions' superior quality digital LED print engine into Degrava's DP 8500 digital press to deliver a very affordable, high quality and simple solution for short run label printing.

The DP 8500 creates brilliant, durable and visually superior colour for labels, tags and other narrow web applications. It is empowered by Degrava Colour Pro (DCP) software and will raster image processing (RIP) the most challenging images fast, while providing consistently professional quality colour. DCP has outstanding capabilities which include printing from PC or MAC graphics programs, managing sequential or variable data, making colour corrections on the fly and archiving jobs for future reprints. As there's no complicated training with the Degrava DP 8500, and no environmental or electrical set up, it's simply unpack, plug it in, and it's ready to begin printing.

In addition to the new Degrava, Oki Printing Solutions is showcasing some of its latest products during the show addressing the needs of different business levels. Available at Oki' stand is the C830, the most affordable A3 colour printer in the market at almost half the price and half the size of the competitors models. The printer does not compromise on performance and is able to print on a range of media - from postcards to 1.2m banners. The C830 duplex capability allows double sided printing for brochures and booklets, facilitated by Template Manager 3.0, which enables the creation of a range of professional-looking documents in-house.

Also Oki is displaying the C9850MFP and the ES3640XF. The C9850MFP is designed to ensure the smooth running of workflow in enterprises and medium-sized businesses that are looking for exceptional productivity, unmatched colour quality and real value. The printer represents a revolution of the colour A3 MFP market with the provision of high quality, embedded management systems at a price this segment has not seen before. Whilst the ES3649XF, provides the ideal solution for graphic users and photographers, thanks to its EFI colorproof XF software. The system is designed for small print runs, photo printing and above all content and layout proofs, providing output for all applications where consistent and exact colour matching is demanded.
