Renaissance Dubai Hotel's Bruce Andrade receives Marriott Spirit to Serve Award

Renaissance Dubai Hotel's Restaurant Manager for Spice Island, Bruce Andrade was recently awarded by Marriott International the Spirit to Serve Award.
Bruce Andrade is one of the pioneering Restaurant Managers of Spice Island, the original buffet concept and market leader in this category in Dubai with 6 live cooking stations which opened in 1992.
Andrade has reaped many awards for his consistent excellent customer service such as Outlet Manager of the Year during the 2006 Hotelier Awards for the Middle East region as well as Manager of the year at the Renaissance Dubai Hotel during the same year.
His leadership in handling Spice Island contributed to the hotel's winning the Marriott Hotel's and Resorts Food & Beverage Award of Excellence for the year 2005 - International Lodging category. Spice Island has also won the What's On magazine's 'Favorite International Restaurant' during the years 2002 and 2007.
Andrade who has been in Dubai for 20 years and knows not only the market but also his guests by heart - their names and preferences. Guests described Bruce as a person with a 'can - do' attitude and hospitable since they feel as if they are treated as part of his family.
Professionalism, passion and the highest level of hospitality are only a few comments of Spice Island's guests who send commendation letters for his exceptional service. He has amassed a big collection of captain coins from the US Navy captains - gifts of appreciation from his loyal guests who call him to reserve tables even before coming to Dubai.
