His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash receives Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at Dubai School of Government

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Dubai School of Government (DSG), welcomed a 35-member Vietnamese delegation led by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to the DSG campus.

Her Excellency Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, UAE Minister of State, Dr. Tarik Yousef, Dean of DSG, and other high-ranking UAE government officials were present at the occasion.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said:

"We are delighted to visit a world-class institution such as the Dubai School of Government, which enjoys strong partnerships with recognized leaders in the world such as the Harvard Kennedy School and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Our visit to the UAE has culminated in the signing of five agreements that aim to boost bilateral economic ties. The knowledge and expertise available at DSG is critical to helping us build on the long-standing relations between Vietnam and the UAE."


His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash said: "We are honoured to receive the Vietnamese delegation led by His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung. Vietnam has the potential to become a very important partner for the UAE, and we look forward to further cementing our relationship with this emerging regional power in southeast Asia."

Established in 2005 in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, the Dubai School of Government is committed to the creation of knowledge, the dissemination of global best practices and the training of policy makers in the Arab world. The school is focused on capacity building and conducts various programs that seek to promote good governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy.

About Dubai School of Government
The Dubai School of Government (DSG) is a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world. Established in 2005 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, DSG aims to promote good governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy.

Toward this goal, the Dubai School of Government also collaborates with regional and global institutions in its research and training programs. In addition, the School organizes policy forums and international conferences to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote critical debate on public policy in the Arab world.
