3M launch Tegaderm Matrix accelerated wound healing dressing, during scientific session with UAE's medical community

3M Health Care Division, a leading provider of medical and oral care, drug delivery and health information systems - a part of 3M, the technology company, held a scientific session in Abu Dhabi's Hilton Hotel for the launch of a wound dressing innovation designed to offer faster healing in difficult-to-heal wounds: the Tegaderm Matrix Dressing with PHI.

To an audience of surgeons including specialist surgeons, podiatrists, doctors, nurses, representatives from the UAE's Ministry of Health and other medical professionals; Cathy Harley, Global Consultant in Wound Care and W. C. Technology discussed the phenomenal breakthrough in wound healing that the Tegaderm Matrix Dressing represents by providing faster healing in chronic wounds, and gave a demonstration on its use to the assembled medical community.

Harley explained:
"In some patients with specific medical issues or complications, wounds may take a long time to heal, if at all. As a product designed specifically for accelerated wound healing, 3M Tegaderm Matrix works to normalize the wound environment, regulate MMPs in the wound bed and facilitate re-epithelialization."


"The launch of our Tegaderm Matrix Dressing with PHI means that patients across the Middle East that suffer from chronic wounds or ulcers will benefit from a product that is truly best in class, and a significant improvement on all existing methods of wound protection currently available and used in the medical world," Harley added.
