New Economic Dept formed in Abu Dhabi

UAE President HH Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a new law to set up the Economic Development Department to replace the current Department of Planning and Economy, WAM has reported. The new department is to streamline the business sector and economic affairs in the emirate, including rules and regulations to issue licences for economic activities as well as preparation of data on the economic index.
