Damas launches e-commerce site for superior shopping experience

Damas has recently launched an e-commerce site.

The initiative is in line with Damas' vision of expanding its sales channels through the internet domain.

The site is expected to provide superior internet shopping experience to its customers and showcase Damas' international and in-house watch and jewellery brands. Cus-tomers can select these items from a range of options and pay safely online through the Mashreq Bank secure payment gateway. Presently, the site will allow delivery only within the UAE but is expected to provide international shipping shortly.

Commenting on this new internet engine, Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director, Damas Jewellery, raved:

"Damas introduces a sophisticated search engine for the conven-ience of its customers to buy products of their choice online. The site will be very user-friendly and employ simple browsing technology for our customers. Just select the items, put all of them in your shopping basket, write down your address in the relevant box, pay your bill through a credit card and the items will be delivered at your doorstep. It's that simple and so we hope that the site will serve as another milestone in our ongoing drive for excellence which continues to put Damas at the forefront of retail industry's developments in Dubai."


He added in order to get the jewellery, a customer either has to go through the tedi-ous process of braving the Dubai traffic or visit many different stores to finally select an ornament of choice. Still, after all this hard work, a customer might not get what he was looking for. "Thus we thought the possible solution to the above complexity could be a common platform that entitles our customers to search, analyze and com-pare the goods and services offered at our site and then subsequently place an order with the one that satisfies their criteria," he said.

The products offered at the site are reasonably priced to encourage traffic. The his-tory of customers' purchases will be saved in their login account and can be edited, deleted or changed if they so desire. Tracking purchases will also be easy because customers will get a proper sales id. Those who are interested in getting regular alerts regarding different online offers and new products offerings can subscribe to the newsletter to benefit from special promotions or hot deals.
