The UAE based Cable Company, who has offices in Bahrain, Saudi, Qatar and Oman sell their products throughout the Middle East, Asia, Far East and North Africa with many of their cables used in landmark projects throughout the GCC.

The new products being showcased throughout 2009 at various exhibitions are; Copper rod and Ducab connect. The Copper rod facility was launched in June 2008 and is the first copper casting plant in the UAE. The plant was established to produce copper rods from copper cathodes that are one of the main components in Cable Manufacturing.

Ducab has supported the Bahrain market through its sales' office in Bahrain for the past ten years. Since the inception in 1995, the joint venture has served the Kingdom of Bahrain with a complete range of cables and accessories and has achieved an impressive growth of over 20%. Projects in Bahrain have included; Sur Hospital Bahrain, Gulf Air Headquarter, Bahrain City Centre, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Alba Aluminium Company.

Speaking about Ducab's participation at the exhibition, Mr. Ahmad bin Hassan Al-Sheikh, Ducab Chairman, said:

"Ducab is committed to delivering excellent value for all our clients in 2009, growing our operations, bringing more capacity to the market. We are constantly expanding our product range, so that our customers can rely on us to be a One-Stop-Shop for all their needs. We are aiming to continuously grow our business and establish new business relationships with participants at the exhibition, as well as reinforce our position in the regional cable market."

Commenting on the decision to invest in exhibitions, Andrew Shaw, Ducab's MD said:
"We are confident that despite a slowdown in the UAE and regional markets that we will continue to grow throughout 2009, albeit at a slower rate than 2008. Exhibiting plays a fundamental role in shaping our business. It is a unique opportunity to access customers throughout the region, increase awareness and visibility of our products to the region's leading purchasers and meet existing and potential new customers face-to-face. Based on the feedback we have had from recent exhibitions we are optimistic that this is the most cost effective way to drum up new business for 2009/2010. Allocating 20% of our marketing budget to exhibitions was an easy decision. It is a cost effective way to remain visible in the marketplace, to showcase our new products to our existing and potential buyers."

Ducab has also provided cables for the following projects in the GCC; Ritz Carlton Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, Doha Sheraton Conference Hall, Royal Plaza (construction in progress), Lulu Centre, RAS GAS Project and the Dasman Hypermarket (Qatar), Central Bank of Oman, Sur Hospital, American International School, Al Manah Power Station and the Oman Culture Center (Oman), Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (Kuwait)
