Amadeus Saudi highlights role of female trainers for the travel industry

Amadeus Saudi Arabia, a leading technology and distribution solutions provider for the travel and tourism industry, invests on training female travel agents to increase efficiency and create job opportunities within the Saudi travel sector.

"We have seen a steady rise in the number of women joining the travel and tourism sector in Saudi Arabia. It is important that they receive proper training and support so that they can contribute effectively to the growth of their company," said Eng. Nashat M. Amadeus Saudi was the first to appoint dedicated female trainers to coach female travel agency staff in 2007. In 2008 alone Amadeus female trainers trained more than 60 female travel agencies employees in Saudi Arabia.

Amadeus Saudi Arabia has three state-of-art training centers in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al Khobar. In the past, Amadeus Saudi Arabia has conducted training for female staff from leading travel agencies, including Al Tayyar Travel, Attar Travel, Ace Travel, Zahid Travel.

The three day certified course includes training in basic and advanced ticketing and reservation systems allowing female travel agency staff to be proficient in using travel software such as use of fares and ticketing, flight and hotel reservations, car hire, etc.

"The training provided are globally accredited and closely aligned to the requirements of the Saudi travel industry. Travel agencies of all sizes should look at training and development of their staff as an investment in productivity, efficiency and better customer services," added Bukhari.
