Presented by CEA's TechHome Division, the Mark of Excellence Awards program recognizes the best in home electronics products, services, and installed technology. Each year, manufacturers, distributors, and systems integrators compete in various award categories for this distinct honor through the judgment of an expert panel comprised of independent industry experts, such as system integrators, manufacturers, members of the industry trade press and consultants.

The award for "Best Green Product, Service, or Corporate Policy" recognizes a manufacturer for a green product or practice that best saves energy or natural resources or a service or corporate policy/strategy, which promotes environmentally/planet friendly practices such as recycling programs, reduced packaging, technologies to reduce travel and/or supports or promotes state or federal legislation (i.e. Leeds).

Harrison Albert, Regional Sales Director at
D-Link Middle East, says:
"Our networking solutions enable companies to negotiate important subjects over the Internet and thus help reducing the need to travel (e.g. VoIP Telephony solutions). D-Link solutions further allow flexible working environments where employees don't necessarily need to commute to the office daily, but can easily access important company data from home."

The "D-Link Green Program" caught the attention of the expert panel and praised the global leader in networking solutions for its "commitment to saving the world's environment" and its "partnership with the U.S. government's Energy Star program".

"D-Link Green" assures that both consumer and business products are designed to reduce power consumption whenever possible, use recyclable materials in packaging, recycle unused factory parts and to adhere to worldwide environmental standards in every aspect of the manufacturing cycle.

"We are honored and proud to be recognized for our Green Technology initiatives by such a prestigious organization as the CEA, of which we have been a member for many years," said Tony Tsao, President and CEO of D-Link Corporation, "We are dedicated to continuing our Green innovation, seeking new avenues that protect the environment and help our customers save money in the process."

The Winners will be recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Rosen Center Hotel in conjunction with the Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2009, in Orlando, Florida.
