Canon Middle East sponsors IDC's Middle East CIO Summit 2009

Canon Middle East has sponsored the IDC MENA CIO summit 2009, an annual gathering of the top 100 IT end users across the Middle East, Levant, Pakistan and North Africa.

The sponsorship reflects Canon's commitment to supporting business in the Middle East through IT and helping to provide businesses in the region with emerging technologies that can transform companies and create added value.

During the CIO summit Canon showcased its business solutions, a unique combination of hardware, software and services designed to streamline office processes and increase cost efficiency. Canon's highly flexible solutions can be tailored to deliver a competitive advantage to any business and an excellent return on investment particularly within the current economic climate.

As document sponsor at the summit, Canon was responsible for printing all documents related to the summit including the speaker book, attendee book, evaluation form, agenda, menu cards and other related branding used at the venue

Canon was also one of the main exhibitors at the summit and showcased its cost effective business solutions product range including the A4 color network scanner 'Scan Front 220P' and the Canon 'i-SENSYS MF9170' color laser multifunctional printer, which has been awarded the 2008 "Pick of the Year" in the Buyers Laboratory (BLI) Fall 2008 "Pick" awards for colour printers and colour printer MFPs.

In addition to its sponsorship, Canon also provided all the Gala dinner attendees with souvenir photos taken at the summit and provided the business centre in the press room with two multifunctional printers. As an added benefit Canon organised a raffle draw at the Gala dinner for guests and gave away the Canon imageClass MF4370dn/4380dn, the Canon PowerShot SX110 and the Canon Selphy ES3.
