Acmat announces participation at IDEX 2009

Perpetuating this heritage in the range of Light Tactical Vehicles, IDEX'09 will be the place to experience the new light military off-roader ALTV, Acmat Light Tactical Vehicle, equipped for the Special Operations units.

Dedicated to the tactical and reconnaissance missions, the new all-terrain Acmat vehicle is light - gross weight: 3.5 tonnes, muscular - payload: 1.5 tonne, powerful - engine: 2.5-litre Turbo Diesel and speed - maximum 170 km/h.

Fuel-efficiency - 1600-km cruising range, maneuverability - 6.70-m turning radius, unsurpassed off-road performances on sand, mud or rocks, the ALTV is designed and built for the most challenging terrain, the long-distance drive and the urban environment.

Meeting a wide range of threat levels, the ALTV integrates protection solutions including add-on armour kits, gunner protection, ballistic glass, anti-mine and runflat devices.

These armour solutions meet the major warfighters' requirements without affecting its automotive performance.

Fully compliant with emission standards, from Euro 2 to Euro 5, the ALTV range features several variants:
- 2-seater single cab
- 4-seater double cab
- Multi-role platform: Personnel, Cargo, Shelter carrier
- Special Operations: 12.7 HMG, 7.62 LMG, Grenade launcher and Fire Support systems.

The ALTV also meets current weight and dimension requirements for transportability aboard ships and aircrafts.
