Atlas Murais Contracting LLC will be a joint venture between Atlas Telecom and Marais Groupe SA and will target specific strategic projects in the UAE and Middle East. The company will combine the local knowledge and partner network of Atlas Telecom with the globally renowned technology and expertise in mechanized laying machines of Marais Groupe. Atlas Murais Contracting will be active in the areas of rentals, sales of cables, trenching, cabling machines and all related activities. Three specialized trenching machines will be made available shortly for rental purposes.
Saeed Al Mutawaa, Vice President of Atlas Group said,
"We are proud and delighted to be partnering with Marais Groupe and we believe that Atlas Murais Contracting will quickly establish itself as the preferred supplier of trenching equipment in the region. The expertise of both partners will bring tangible benefits to our customers, with whom we hope to forge the long-lasting relationships that are a hallmark of the way Atlas companies operate."
Atlas Telecom is also proud to announce two highlights among the equipment shown at its stand: the new VIGISCAN Infrared vision system and a new TETRA handheld radio device.
The VIGISCAN Infrared vision system comprises a senior head rotating continuously at one round per second for 360 degrees azimuth coverage. The system incorporates a number of advanced features and the ultra wide panoramic field ensures that no event is ever missed, even over extremely large areas and in total darkness, smoke or fog. The rugged system can withstand extreme weather conditions and all activity can be monitored on a PC with Windows XP Professional operating software.
The new THR9 TETRA handheld radio is supplied by EADS Defence & Security (DS) and combines the latest technical advances with tried-and-tested features that are demanded by professional users. Its robust design is perfectly suited to the tough operational requirements of security forces: a clearly laid-out keypad with large keys, a group selector switch in the top part of the device, and shock, dust and spray-proof construction in compliance with IP55.
In addition to showcasing its solutions, products and state-of-the-art technology, Atlas Telecom used IDEX 2009 to highlight its long-standing relationships with international partners such as EADS, Ultra Electronics, EMERGEO Solutions and Harris. Mr. Al Mutawaa added, "IDEX has always been a significant event for Atlas Telecom. Participation at the show provides the ideal platform for demonstrating our ongoing support to our existing customers and partners and giving us the opportunity to meet with new suppliers and establish new partnerships."
