Fujitsu Siemens Computers also continued its presence in the region's desktop market posting a 46 per cent YoY growth in Saudi Arabia while the market grew at a mere six per cent, and 65% in other Middle East markets.
The company ranked among the top five vendors in Egypt as it again experienced exponential YoY growth of 242% during Q408, capturing 12.5% of Egypt's notebook market share. The company registered a staggering 690 per cent growth in Saudi Arabia's desktop and notebook segment owing to increased shipments during Q408.
"Despite challenges in many global markets, our regional presence has remained strong and we are experiencing continued growth in the notebooks segment in key Middle East markets. We also attribute this growth to the rise in demand for our newly designed consumer notebooks -the AMILO range. We are confident our market share will increase through out the region."
said Stephane Rejasse, Managing Director for Fujitsu Siemens Computers ME.
