Injazat Data Systems announces collaboration with Northrop Grumman on high-technology programs

This agreement is expected to influence the creation of numerous defense-related jobs in the UAE.

The MoA was signed at the ninth International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) by Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Chief Executive Officer of Injazat Data Systems; and John W. Brooks, Vice President of International Business Development for Northrop Grumman and President of Northrop Grumman International Inc.

"The MoA reflects our mutual interest to explore ways in which we can collaborate and take advantage of the technologically advanced opportunities in the United Arab Emirates and abroad. Moreover, this agreement further underscores Injazat's desire to select partners of global standing to achieve the economic diversification mandate of the Abu Dhabi Government," said Lari.

Brooks said, "We are honored to work with Injazat Data Systems, and its subsidiary Injazat Defence Services, who are industry leaders in Abu Dhabi and across the GCC region. By combining our expertise and technologies, we are confident of creating a great deal of synergy and growth opportunities for the two organizations."

"Injazat Data Systems brings its technical background and experience in software and IT solutions, services, and engineering support to the partnership, while we provide expertise in the design, development and implementation of C4ISR architectures; systems engineering, integration and test; communications systems design and integration; and radar systems design, production and associated systems and technologies," Brooks added.

Injazat Data Systems is an Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala); and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), an HP company and a global IT and business managed services company. Injazat Defence Services is a newly formed subsidiary of Injazat Data Systems that focuses on the local defence and security sectors. In line with Mubadala's strategy of bringing private, government and military institutions together to develop and provide advanced outsourced resources for the UAE and regional armed forces, Injazat Data Systems and Injazat Defence Services will enable the armed forces to focus on their core operations.
