MBDA, Baynuna to create joint venture

Today at IDEX exhibition, Antoine Bouvier, CEO of MBDA, and General Khaled Al Bu-Ainain, CEO of the Baynuna Group, signed a memorandum of association in order to establish a Joint Venture in the United Arab Emirates.

Leveraging on the local highly recognized competences in the field of defence and aerospace of Baynuna Aviation Technology (BAT), a company of the Baynuna Group, MBDA will organize an in depth transfer of technology as regards to training and simulation for the UAE armed forces, as well as missile systems customization, system integration and weapon systems development.

This new partnership is aimed at developing and enhancing the UAE know how in the high added value defence and weapon system technologies.

At this occasion, Antoine Bouvier said:

"We are very proud to associate ourselves today to Baynuna, as we believe it is the partner of choice to reinforce a long lasting relationship with the UAE and bring our support to the development of the high technology industry in this country."

General Khaled Al Bu-Ainain stated: "We aim through this trustful partnership to bring value to the UAE in line with the strategic vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan for the creation of a pole of excellence in high technology and advanced industry."
