Samena to provide discussion and networking platform at its inaugural 'Broadband Wireless Summit 2009' in Beirut

Samena Telecommunications Council, the multi-continent telecom consortium has announced the inaugural edition of 'Broadband Wireless Summit 2009' to be held on 2nd March 2009 at The Phoenicia Hotel, Beirut in Lebanon.

Aimed at facilitating better understanding of deployment strategy elements and discussions within the wireless broadband industry, the Summit will feature leading wireless industry experts, key decision makers, Regulators and CEOs from the region.

Elaborating on the forward thinking agenda of the summit, Thomas Wilson, CEO & Executive Managing Director, Samena said:
"The wireless industry is extremely competitive and has witnessed a number of developments and technological advancements which have impacted business strategies. The 'Broadband Wireless Summit 2009' has been designed to provide key decision makers and wireless industry experts with a platform to share knowledge, discuss the challenges within the wireless industry and strategies for deployment of broadband networks."


The enormous potential within the telecom sector in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region and the various benefits and opportunities within the wireless broadband industry are indeed exciting due to the impact it can have on corporate as well as national income.

Understanding the perspectives of each wireless broadband market and the opportunities and challenges that exist therein, utilizing the appropriate deployment strategies and innovative service-oriented tactics is the key to the successful implementation of wireless broadband networks.

Speakers at this event will include a number of high profile industry experts representing leading organizations such as Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in Lebanon, UAE and Bahrain, Etisalat, Motorola, wi-tribe, Cisco, Huawei Technologies, Oger Telecom - Turkey and Mobinil among others.

The Summit will explore WiMAX, UMB, LTE and their deployment strategies and will feature presentations by Regulators, Operators and Vendors covering various aspects of the wireless broadband industry including standardization of broadband systems, service delivery strategies, network deployment and impact on the national economy.
