Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim Vice President of Zayed University stressed the importance of the cooperation with the "ifs School of Finance", he explained: " Zayed University is always keen on establishing relations with various institutions in different sectors in the UAE which aims to promote the process of national development".
He added: "This agreement is of great significance as it comes in line with His Excellency's vision Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research President of Zayed University, he explained that Zayed University always looks forward to create partnerships with community institutions and the business sector in the UAE, and in this regard, cooperation with The ifs School of Finance to enhance the provision of training for the Central Bank provides high school graduates the opportunity to join the banking sector and allows them to apply their skills and work according to the latest scientific methods and applications.
Tim Rogmans, Director of Training and Consultancy at Zayed University said:
"The partnership between ZU and ifs allows banks in the UAE to access world class banking qualifications taught by Zayed University faculty. The choice by the UAE Central Bank to train future bank examiners in this way is an important sign of confidence in this innovative approach to training staff."
Dr. Gavin Shreeve CEO and Principal of the ifs School of Finance signed the agreement and on behalf of Donald Brydon Chairman of The ifs School of Finance.
On his part, Donald Brydon said: 'The ifs School of Finance is looking forward to building a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Zayed University for the provision of financial education in the UAE.
This collaboration combines the ifs'130 -year old pedigree in providing quality financial education with the flexible teaching capabilities and local knowledge of Zayed University. The agreement with Central Bank of the UAE to deliver the Central Banking Examiner program is a strong endorsement of the validity and potential of this partnership.'
