This tour is organised by Art For All and the shows will take place in Dubai at Ductac Mall of the Emirates between March 27 and 30, 2009. There will be few shows dedicated to the schools.

Saeed Al Nabouda, Chief Projects & Events Officer in the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said:
"It has been the overall driving philosophy of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority to not only consolidate Dubai as the capital of excellence in arts and culture, but also to enhance the quality of life in our region."

"By supporting the premiere of such an outstanding theatrical production in the region, we are sure that not only children - and especially children with special needs, but all who are fortunate to witness the performance of Angelina Ballerina, will come away with a sense of wonder that will live with them as a joyous memory for years to come," he added.

"It's enough to tickle almost anyone's inner child," The Times reported.

This tour follows a hugely successful tour to Australia in January which saw Angelina Ballerina break Melbourne theatre ticket sales. English National Ballet has had an overwhelmingly positive audience response to Angelina's Star Performance including: "We had a fantastic evening. It was a wonderful and fun ballet. My daughter loved it." and another said, "My youngest repeatedly said on the way home that it's the best thing she's ever seen. When she woke up this morning she asked if we could go again tonight!"

Helen Craig and Katharine Holabird, the creators of the Angelina Ballerina character and books, said, "We attended Angelina's Star Performance several times, and thought it was absolutely beautiful and wonderfully funny. This sparkling and original ballet is a magical theatrical experience for young and old alike."

With a cast of English National Ballet's dancers, Angelina's Star Performance offers a unique introduction for boys and girls aged 3+ years to experience their first live ballet. Angelina's Star Performance is based upon author Katharine Holabird's and illustrator Helen Craig's successful and timeless book Angelina at the Palace which follows Angelina as she prepares to stage her own performance of The Sleeping Beauty, at the request of the Queen in her splendid palace. She even has a real life Princess, Princess Valentine, to star alongside her in the show. It's Angelina's biggest challenge yet... will she manage to pull it off? Angelina's Star Performance is choreographed by Antony Dowson, with costumes by Wizzy Shawyer based on the original Angelina Ballerina drawings and set designs from Al Riches.

Angelina's Star Performance runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes including a 20 minute interval.
