The UAE exclusive Fiesta officially goes on auction from February 25th at 0:00 hours on www.souq.com for a period of two weeks, ending on March 10th at 23:59 hours. Auction proceeds, based upon an opening bid price of AED50,000 will be donated to the Dubai Center for Special Needs.

"When we unveiled the Fiesta special edition models last week, these vehicles witnessed unprecedented popularity and sparked tremendous desire among various audiences and age groups," said Waldo Galan, managing director, Ford Middle East.

"The new 2009 Fiesta, with its dynamic, sleek design and its unique features, is sure to carve its own following. And as we offer the Number One model for auction, we know it will get great feedback. We are thrilled that this activity will work on all levels, whether in elevating the popularity of Ford's smaller vehicles to higher grounds, or giving back support to the local communities where we serve our customers," Galan added.

Blazing in red, the five-door Fiesta number 1/24 special edition model boasts a unique paint design adorning its subcompact body with black and silver lines. The Titanium trim model comes with a host of features that are unique in this category and that are normally found on larger vehicles.

These include:

16" alloy wheels, rear sport spoiler, front/rear parking sensors, Electronic Air Temperature Control, 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, power front and rear windows with driver one shot up and down, front/rear fog lamps, Electronic Stability Program, driver/passenger/side airbags, halogen projector headlamps, Homesafe Headlamp feature, keyless system with push button start, and radio/CD/MP3/ 4 front/2 rear speakers with steering wheel remote control.

With a feeling of toned muscularity, the new Fiesta asserts an air of confidence, stylishness and individuality. Its aggressively contoured bonnet and front wings convey a broad-shouldered stance, and its face features a distinctive signature element - a bold lower trapezoidal grille that draws attention and reinforces the key Ford attribute of sporty driving dynamics. Chrome and brightwork are used selectively, like jewellery accents, to convey elegance and sophistication.

New Fiesta's profile emphasises its new, cab-forward shape and an attitude of poised, sporty style. The sweeping roofline extends appealingly from the forward-stretching A-pillar rearward, framing the bold graphic of the Fiesta side window profile to create the sporty feeling of a coupé.

"Youth today look for a combination of style, safety, smart features and great driving dynamics when it comes to their vehicle and that's what the Fiesta has to offer. We are confident that the UAE will be enthralled by this new offering from Ford as it speaks very well of their own lifestyles,"

concluded Galan.
