The partnership has been welcomed by Fairs and Exhibitions, organisers of the GEF and GESS.
Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director of Fairs and Exhibitions, who organise the events, said:
"The Emirates Foundation is an extremely well respected organisation that is committed to supporting the development of a world class education system here in the UAE. We are delighted to have their support."
The Emirates Foundation was launched in 2005 by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is a national initiative that offers technical and financial support to projects that enrich the lives of people in the Emirates.
As part of their support of the event the Emirates Foundation will also provide volunteers from its Takatof programme to provide assistance for the duration of the show. Takatof is a voluntary social programme designed to encourage a culture of volunteering throughout the UAE.
Education is a core area of interest for the Foundation as it aims to support the development of an education system across the UAE that utilises resources to implement best global teaching, administrative and technical practices to graduate independent, qualified Emirati citizens.
"The Global Education Forum and the Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions show are truly international events that play an important role in the development of the education system in the UAE. We are pleased to support these events as part of our wider programme of initiatives in the education sector designed to graduate independent and qualified Emirati citizens," said Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Managing Director of the Emirates Foundation.
The Global Education Forum and Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and with the support of the Emirates Foundation, will be held from March 10-12 at the Airport Expo Dubai. Online visitor registration for educational professionals is now available at Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions website.
