Within a year of its launch, Service Express has witnessed a staggering 90% of customers in the UAE utilizing the service, with 97% needing no further follow up on products serviced within the warranty period.

The 'collect and drop' service created in partnership with DHL is aimed at providing customers with rapid pick-up and servicing of their Fujitsu Siemens Computers products without having to brave the UAE's road traffic.

"The unprecedented uptake of our 'Service Express' scheme has demonstrated that services have become a major differentiator for IT vendors. Since the launch of 'Service Express', the utilization of this service has increased on an average of 20% each month, surpassing our expectations. Individual users, corporations and retailers have all been comfortably using the service, which currently has a turnaround time of five working days; we are looking at methods to further reduce service time in the next year," said Aiham Al-Akhras, Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Service Manager for the Middle East.

"Fujitsu Siemens Computers' customers want to maximize their IT investment, and the 'Service Express' scheme has demonstrated that the efficiency and effectiveness of after-sales services will be a key factor in customers' buying decisions going forward," added Akhras.

Customers with Fujitsu Siemens Computers products under warranty can take advantage of this service by calling the Service Express number to report a fault or request service. The service team ensures that the unit is collected from the customer's home or office, serviced or repaired, and delivered within a given time frame. During this time, customers are regularly updated on the status of their product.

Service Express is available to customers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and will be rolled out in other countries across the Middle East region.
