Mr. Kazim also praised "Sharekni" service which shall undoubtedly contribute in decreasing traffic jams, the number of vehicles on roads during peak hours, parking problems, transportation costs, the physical and mental stress resulting from driving in heavy traffic, and reducing environment pollution due to gas emissions generated by the large numbers of cars, in addition to strengthening social relationships and making new friends.
He added
"this is not the first time in which we cooperate with Dubai RTA, as we have previously worked together in the launching of a traffic awareness campaign which was intended to raise the public's traffic education. Wooden toys were distributed in all the Corporation's service stations, bearing messages regarding the importance of wearing the seat belt, traffic lights, dangers of speed on roads and other issues."
"Emarat always welcomes the opportunities to cooperate with the Authority in joint campaigns and events that aim to serve the public and preserve their safety and comfort on roads, in addition to protecting the environment. Emarat service stations are currently distributing flyers and booklets that include information about "Sharekni" service and how to join it."
"Sharekni" service is an initiative launched by Dubai RTA to coordinate between vehicles' owners who wish to share their daily trips with other passengers from their homes to work places and vice versa. This can be achieved by signing up at "Sharekni" website which then issues an authorization to vehicles' owners allowing them to transport other passengers to their destinations in the emirate of Dubai.
