Dubai International Boat Show opens 3 March

The 17th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, opening tomorrow, is set to attract tens of thousands of visitors with numerous new and exciting initiatives throughout the five-day event.

New to the show this year are the Superyacht Extravaganza, High Fashion and Jewellery show and many competitions and promotions from sponsors that include Al Boom (Tommy Bahamas), Damas, Tiffany & Co, Cole Haan, and Paspaley Pearls.

Even non-marine luxury brands are seeking premium associations with the Dubai Boat Show' to leverage on its prestigious market connectivity and exclusive access to the affluent consumers in the region. Aston Martin, Damas, Lamborghini and Range Rover will all be participating in the show.

The Dubai International Boat Show, running from 3-7 March 2009 at Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) has also recorded significant growth across key areas, with over 400 boats on exhibit and a 45% growth in the Superyacht display.

Presenting a massive 85000 square metres of exhibition space with more than 721 international companies from 50 countries of which 20% are new exhibiting companies and brands.

To add to the show's growth, Dubai International Boat Show will also be the preferred platform for at least five major global premiers and more than 22 regional launches.

Some of the events running alongside Dubai International Boat Show include live jazz and a high-profile fashion show presented by O-de-Rose on Thursday, 5 March with 50 VIP bags by Parmigiani Watches to be given away.

To add to the entertainment every night the Dubai Boat Show will feature the spectacular Superyacht Extravaganza, a laser light display showcasing the latest yachts and a fine jewellery display courtesy of Damas.

Visitors to the event can also take advantage of the many competitions and promotions including vouchers to spend on Paspaley supplied by Damas and a chance to win the Emirates Yachting Grew 188 or a Yamaha Wave Runner. In addition, every 100th paid visitor to the show will receive a luxury Cole Haan tote bag filled with Damas giveaways.

Held at Dubai International Marine Club - Mina Seyahi, the Dubai International Boat Show is open to trade visitors and general public from 3 - 5 March 3pm - 9.30pm and 6 - 7 March 1pm - 9.30pm.

Visitors without an invitation must pay an entrance fee. Children under 12 will be admitted free and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Access to the Marine Display Area may be restricted at certain times.
