France at Cabsat 2009 in Dubai

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, March 02 - 2009 at 14:33
  • PRESS RELEASE

The UAE, a privileged economic partner for France, hosts up to 250 French companies in various fields, and major broadcast equipment companies such as Alcatel-Lucent and Thomson have already important cooperation with UAE companies.

Dubai is considered to be a hub for the broadcasting industry, and major media companies like "Emirates Media Inc" and "Dubai Media Inc", as well as the development of dedicated free zones such as "Dubai Studio City" and "Dubai Media City", boost the attractiveness of the industry.

The reasons behind the French participation at Cabsat 2009 lies in the fact that Cabsat is the biggest show for broadcasting in the Middle-East and is considered to be the perfect platform for French companies to present their state-of-the-art technologies and their know-how.

Moreover, the very fact of being gathered in the same pavilion at this professional showcase, allows them to develop synergy and communication among them. The French Pavilion is growing in success year after year: it started with 7 companies two years ago, to triple to 20 companies in 2009, despite the current world economic crisis.
