"Our support comes in line with wasl's continuous efforts to endorse activities that reflect the diversity and heritage of the UAE community. The festival is expected to draw poets from diverse literary backgrounds to embrace a literary fusion of indigenous and international talent."
More than 100 regional and international poets and writers from various countries are anticipated to converge in Dubai for the festival that will run until 10 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Madinat Jumeirah and the House of Poetry. The event will set the stage for a series of poetry recitals, literary exhibitions, and cultural activities across select venues in Dubai.
Al Sowaidi added: "Our collaboration with Dubai International Poetry Festival clearly validates our dedication to bringing diverse community members together. Befitting Dubai's international stature as a melting pot of diverse cultures, the event will serve as a literary platform for scholars and a stepping stone for young talent to cultivate their flair. We are confident the festival will soon evolve as a much-awaited calendar event for the global literary community."
