English language certificates for 38 Bapco employees

Thirty-eight University of Cambridge English language certificates were presented to employees from areas throughout Bapco at a ceremony held last week at the Bapco Club in Awali.

Certificates presented at the ceremony were Higher, Vantage, and Preliminary levels in the Business English Certificates (BEC), which are awarded by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, and are recognised and accepted internationally. The BEC examinations are geared to business and workplace English and relate closely to the language needs of Bapco employees.

Manager - Training & Development Ahmed Tahery congratulated the employees who successfully completed the courses on this high level of success and commended them for their hard work. He also thanked all those who contributed to the success of the programme, including Bapco's management and line departments, and members of Training & Development Department's team.

"This training success is not only based on thorough exam preparation, but on systematic development throughout Bapco's English programme achieved by the company's Training team. Credit also goes to Bapco for providing an environment in which this sort of systematic, long-term development can take place."

he said.

Keith Gardiner, Superintendent - Communication Skills & Information Systems Training, acknowledged the support received from all areas of the company.

"Bapco's Training team gets the full commitment at all levels to developing employees. We are fortunate to work in an environment where there is such a positive and long-term commitment to employee development."
