The health camp, which is part of TSC's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, will feature free health check-ups and specially-planned health talks for women and their families in an effort to help raise heightened awareness on different health-related issues like common illnesses and their symptoms, nutrition and the importance of leading a healthier lifestyle. The health camps are being organised in collaboration with Prime Medical Center and Synergy Integrated Medical Centre.

Pierre Issa, Director for Operations, Sharaf Group, said: "Hosting a health camp for women is TSC's unique way of celebrating womanhood and recognising the enormous contributions women have made to society. We are pleased to partner with Prime Medical Center and Synergy Integrated Medical Centre for this initiative that aims to increase the level of health awareness among women in the UAE, while encouraging them to make the most of latest medical advancements that will ensure early diagnosis and treatment of various ailments."

"Moreover, this month-long program is in line with TSC's continuing corporate social responsibility initiatives that aim to strengthen our relationship with the local community. Ever since our opening, we have served as an important venue for various discussions and forums that have helped enrich the lives of the people around us," he added.

The free medical check-ups at TSC will include blood sugar testing, Body Mass Index (BMI) testing, blood pressure check-ups and consultations with Prime Medical Center's resident gynecologists, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists and orthopedics.

Opening the Health Talk series on March 5th will be Dr. Amala Nazareth, MBBS; MD, who will be talking about pregnancy and other women's health concerns. Sessions featuring equally interesting and informative topics like ergonomics and postures, and allergies will be held on subsequent Thursdays, with medical professionals leading the discussions. In addition, there will be a session on cervical cancer and its awareness to highlight the fact that detection and treatment of this type of cancer is possible even in early stages.

Dr. Amala Nazareth said:
"We encourage everyone to come and join us as the sessions will be beneficial not only to women but their family members as well. We will be opening the event with an important talk focused on women who are expecting their first child; doctors like us know that soon-to-be-mothers have many questions about their pregnancy and this session offers a broad insight about pregnancy and motherhood."

The series of health talks will be held every Thursday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, while the free health check-ups will be conducted on Fridays from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Health Talks will be held in TSC's Play Area, Fun Square, where mothers with kids can avail a 50% discount on the Entrance Fee during these times.
