Honda launches 'Try Honda' Open Weekend

"There's a lot of talk about economic doom and gloom in the automotive sector so we thought it was time to inject a bit of fun into the car business," laughs Paul Turner, Honda National Sales Manager, Oman. "With this in mind we've organised a series of 'Try Honda' Open Weekends at Honda showrooms across the Sultanate for all the family to enjoy. The first event is at our Wattaya Showroom this weekend and everyone is welcome."

"Cars are very much a part of day-to-day life but we enjoy them too. We want to reflect that in our 'Try Honda' weekends - we want to give people the opportunity to test drive our model line-up without the pressure of feeling that they have to make a purchase," says Turner. "We pride ourselves on having a good relationship with our customers and this weekend aims to reflect that. We find that people who buy a Honda tend to stay with Honda and that's something we're very proud of so of course we want to take the opportunity to say thank you to our loyal customers but we also want to give drivers who haven't tried Honda before the chance to see what they're missing."

"We're expecting the Jazz and City to attract particular interest as they're very much cars for both today's lifestyle and the current economic climate," comments the National Sales Manager. "Both models represent fantastic value, are very economical to run and are extremely reliable. But the weekend is not just about test drives. Visitors will also be treated to the chance to learn how to ride a motorcycle on the Honda Motorcycle simulator - under the guidance of fully trained and qualified instructors. We'll also have a quad bike zone where kids can experience for themselves how much fun a quad can be with the supervision & guidance of our motorcycle team.

Yasser Al Balushi, the Wattaya Motorcycle Manager adds, "We really want to emphasize that this is a fun weekend experience for the whole family - parents are often worried about bringing their children into a car showroom but we're making sure that they'll be fully entertained. There'll be a bouncy castle, a magician, face painting, balloon art and a henna artist to keep the youngsters busy. And as everyone in Oman loves raffles we'll of course make sure visitors have the chance to put their names in a special 'Try Honda' draw that's full of excellent prizes. It's sure to be a great weekend."

The first 'Try Honda' Open Weekend will take place at the Honda Wattaya Showrooms on Wednesday 4th March from 3pm to 9pm and on Thursday 5th March from 1pm to 9pm.
