Cheaperthanhotels unveils dedicated UAE website

Cheaperthanhotels uses cutting-edge technology to enable travellers to quickly search one of the world's largest hotel databases, boasting more than 48,000 properties in 130 countries worldwide.

Rather than restrict visitors to searching for rates based solely on destination, travel dates and/or price, Cheaperthanhotels allows travellers to drill deeper by specifying additional search criteria, including accommodation types, star ratings and hotel features (from swimming pools to disabled facilities).

The result is a faster, easier and more accurate way to track down properties that best suit individual travellers' needs and budgets.

Cheaperthanhotels Managing Director Alistair White said that the new website (www.cheaperthanhotels.ae) was specifically designed to suit the needs of UAE-based travellers, with cheap hotel rates at more than 125 regional properties.

"The global economic downturn has made regional and international travellers more cost conscious than ever," Mr White said. "But travellers simply don't have the time to wade through the endless lists of hotels that price comparison sites traditionally generate. By providing additional filtering we provide a faster, easier and more accurate way for travellers to track down properties that best suit individual travellers' needs and budgets."

This month the company set a new benchmark for hotel websites when it gave users the ability to have search results displayed on a Google area map alongside average prices for each hotel.

Along with price and location comparison, the new maps also incorporate a route planner, which allows travellers to specifying a journey between two or more points then view accommodation options and prices mapped out along the desired route.
