Mr. Muhammad Al Qallaf, an official in Kuwait's 'Amiri Diwan,' spoke on campus first, followed days later by well-known psychiatrist and television presenter Dr. Abdul Mohsin Al Ahmad, from Saudi Arabia.

Both speakers are visiting the UAE under the sponsorship of Abu Dhabi's Family Development Foundation. They came to Abu Dhabi Women's College at the invitation of the College Discovery Club, which encourages students to develop their non-academic social and personal skills.

Mr. Al Qallaf, an educator who now works at Kuwait's rulers' court, addressed the topic of 'Attitude and Determination.' He encouraged students to pay careful attention to the decisions they make, because 'your future is a product of today's choices.' Dr. Al Ahmad, whose work is available on popular CDs and cassettes, spoke about the therapeutic effects of the five daily prayers of Islam. His discussion included examples of cases he has treated in his medical practice.

Dr. Bradley Cook, Director of HCT's ADWC, expressed the College's gratitude for the lectures. "We feel honored that Mr. Al Qallaf and Dr. Al Ahmad have visited our College. Certainly our students, who attended with enthusiasm, have benefited from the messages they have heard from these two distinguished guests."

Abu Dhabi Women's College is part of the Higher Colleges of Technology. All media references to the organization should be noted as the Higher Colleges of Technology's Abu Dhabi Women's College or Abu Dhabi Women's College of HCT.
