With the nearby Discovery Gardens residential development filling up fast, the opening of new stores is being driven by increased customer demand. The mall has already got off to a great start in 2009; January and the beginning of the Dubai Shopping Festival saw a recorded ten per cent increase in footfall over the same January 2008. With Ibn Battuta playing host to Cirque du Soleil's critically acclaimed show Alegrķa from March 5, the mall expects to see further increases in visitors - with thousands set to attend the show.
Nakheel Retail is committed to its regular customers, and will erect a temporary car-park to cater for the expected increased footfall during March.
