IATCO Dammam launches its new 3PL operation with SNS

IATCO is the exclusive distributor of P&G goods and other FMCG products such as Clorox, Quaker and United Riceland in the Saudi Market and one of the Kingdom's largest and most respected firms providing distribution and sales, as well as a host of other value-added services.

IATCO took over the operation of the P&G warehouses in Dammam handling finished goods (mainly detergents) originating from the P&G factories and serving as a distribution hub for the Gulf and Middle-East region.

IATCO is now handling two P&G warehouses of several sheds and with a total area of 20,000m2. The storage system is constituted mainly of moles, bulk stacking and drive in with some selective areas for case picking. The challenges of the project were mainly related to a high speed operation, a detailed 3PL billing process and a high accuracy requirement from P&G.

The solution included a full integration with P&G SAP system. Interfaces included multiple touch points such as Advance Shipment Notice import and export, Shipment Orders import and Export, Hold Management, Stock Adjustment and Inventory Reconciliation.

SNS' expertise provided IATCO with a smooth transition from P&G staff, on site support and real-time solutions for operational issues. The integration solution ensured minimum order cycle, increased response time and systems synchronization with P&G SAP.
