About The Good Carb Food Company:
The GoodCarb Food Company was set up in 2003 by Dr Mick Shaw and his wife Lizi.

At that time Mick and Lizi were organic farmers on the Cardigan coast in West Wales. Being intrigued by how Low Carbohydrate diets apparently worked, and at the same time appalled by the artificial ingredients in Low Carb food products, they made an important discovery.

They discovered that it was possible to produce food from entirely natural ingredients that had a minimal effect on blood sugar level. Thus the GoodCarb Food Company was born.

At its core, The GoodCarb Food Company is a science-based producer. We keep abreast of the latest thinking in nutritional science by active collaboration with leading researchers in the field around the World. And the latest research shows that the glycaemic load, or GL, is the single most important property of a food for blood sugar control. That's why we have taken care to accurately measure and label the GL of our products.
