Ericsson's new structure in North Middle East

With the new structure, the North Middle East Account Unit and as part of Ericsson Market Unit Middle East, will combine five countries together (Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan)

According to the company, Saadi's new role comes as a result of his extensive professional experience, knowledge of the market place and more than 15 years in the telecommunication industry. Saadi previously held numerous roles including Country Manager for Jordan and Iraq for around 6 years, where he played a major role in the fast growth of Ericsson in both countries.

According to Saadi, his new position "as the Account Unit Head for the North Middle East Unit will be a real challenge given both the geographical spread of the region and Ericsson's real potential to develop and grow existing and new relationships. There is a lot that we have to offer, particularly as this region is still in the process of development."

Saadi commented:

"Having a team who is talented and trained, I am confident that we will be able to achieve major successes similar to those we have witnessed over the past years."

"Before returning to Jordan three years ago, it was my ambition and vision that Ericsson would establish an expanded presence in this country. Jordan has a lot to offer especially with the essential pool of highly educated human capital. Now, with my new role as Head of Ericsson's Northern Middle East (NME), I feel that the vision is now turning into a reality, as Ericsson in Jordan will play an important role both within Jordan and the Middle East," Saadi concluded.

Ericsson has been present in the Middle East for more than 50 years and has during these years been working closely with the operators on creating, developing and growing the telecom market in the region. With activities and operations in all 13 countries in the Middle East and offices in 12, Ericsson today does business with more than 20 operators in the region. The company's portfolio comprises mobile & fixed network infrastructure, broadband, and multimedia solutions for operators, government organizations, and enterprises.
